Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She was the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of the events.
